Amsterdam I've been to Amsterdam a few times because my sister was living there for a year and then I went with friends recently. Here are three favourite ones that I think are worth trying!Balthazar KeukenThis was such a beautiful little restaurant with a set seasonal menu. I recommend booking as it gets very busy and everything from the stylish interiors to the wonderful service is the best. I absolutely loved the style which had a classic French bistro feel and I was lucky enough to meet the chef in his open-plan kitchen where he was working his magic. I have included the menu here but it seriously changes all the time. We had a lovely mixed starter plate with fig tapenade, eggs, carrot salad, sundried tomatoes and then followed by steak tartare with octopus, ravioli and finished with some espressos and chunky chocolate chunks. It was beautifully designed with a light grey marble everywhere and in a French bistro style. Everything was quality and the food was also delicious. They had thought of everything from the Blood Mary mix on the tables to the classic French jazz playing. The food was a mixture of eggs, salads and pasta. The service was a little slow but I really couldn't have cared less, there was an amazing atmosphere to wait in so it didn't matter! I just wish that there was a place like this in London. Maybe I will have to try and recreate it.
